This is the reason my brother and I RAN home after school on Fridays (Well, this and knowing Mom went grocery shopping). We didn’t have a cable box. … It wasn’t the mickey mouse club, Double Dare, Fraggle Rock, MTV, Video Soul on BET, or some other cool show we were sick of hearing about from our friends. … No friends… It was Video Music Box !!! Sweet memories! I was introduced to a LOT on that show. Man, I thought I was a correspondent on that show because I made it my business to know all the artists and their lyrics. Public Television was a friend of the family. I’ll be sure to share other shows/programming that I loved.
